Weekend paddleboard tour on the Neris 07-25

Spend your weekend on the water admiring the nature and architecture of Vilnius.

The tour starts at the Žirmūnai beach. Later, the embrace of nature and the sounds of birds are replaced by city views and architectural masterpieces from various periods: the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, the Gediminas Tower, the Raduškevičiai Palace, the National Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Church of St. Philip and St. James, and modern skyscrapers. At the end of the expedition, you will also briefly escape the city bustle by paddling past the green Vingis Park.

TIME. We start at 11:00, beginning with a briefing where you will hear all the necessary information: how to properly get on a paddleboard, how to paddle correctly, what to do if you fall, which route to take, and other important rules for behavior on the water. The briefing takes about 15 minutes, after which you will start paddling. The route length is about 11 km. Tour duration: 2 - 3 hours (depending on the speed of the participants, wind direction, and strength).

ROUTE. We meet at the Žirmūnai beach (Coordinates 54.723521, 25.310847, link to map https://goo.gl/maps/5pz4kakwZaR2), and paddle to the Šaltūnai beach located near the Litexpo palace. We recommend leaving your car at the Šaltūnai beach (or in the Litexpo palace parking lot) and arriving at the Žirmūnai beach by taxi or public transport.

CLOTHING. Wear loose, sporty clothing that won't hinder you from stepping into the water (you can also roll up your pants:). Choose your clothing according to the weather conditions: if the forecast promises a cooler evening, dress warmer. We recommend having dry clothes in the car in case you accidentally fall in (the probability is very low, but it is better to be prepared). If you are arriving without a car, you will be able to leave your belongings with us, and we will safely transport them to the finish line.

During the tour, participants can rent neoprene boots (+5 Eur) or a dry suit (+10 Eur). For boot or suit rental, it is necessary to contact the organizers in advance by phone or email.

PRICE. The tour price is 30 Eur (the price includes: briefing, all necessary equipment).

In the event of very unfavorable weather conditions (storm, thunderstorm, or other dangerous natural phenomena) that may pose a risk to event participants, the event may not take place at the scheduled time and may be rescheduled to another date by mutual agreement. In such a case, tour participants will be informed personally by contacting the phone number provided at the time of ticket purchase.
