"Jokes aside, we are immortal." Julio Cortazar
When visiting the grave of one of the most famous 20th-century Argentine writers, Julio Cortazar, it is a tradition to leave a glass of wine and a sheet of paper with a hopscotch game drawn on it. The Low Air team, inspired by this tradition and the author's rules for playing with imagination, presents an innovative performance that combines the fields of dance and visual art. The artists invite you to immerse yourself in a dream, play with your imagination, and for once, not be afraid to stay in your dreams. The performance is structured as a game with the audience, involving them in unexpected encounters between dream and reality. All situations in the performance end at the moment of waking. The audience is taken into specific situations where the dominant theme is relationships – both with other people and with oneself. Fabrications and subtle experiences intertwine with the reality of a dream and become an inseparable element of image and movement. The visual dance performance "Game Over" takes on dreams and analyzes how they could be explained in real life. The performance is full of symbols and codes that the audience will try to decipher together with the creative team.
"It was amazing – so much passion, sensitivity, physical virtuosity, humor, and irony. It's like my dreams about Rene Magritte paintings, computer games, and rave parties all in one. Just as promised, Julio Cortázar was here too." (Olia Zhuk, Creative Director of the Dovzhenko Centre (Ukraine), 2017)
