About this event

The show musical "Christmas on the Antlers," introduced to audiences last year, is returning. This festive spectacle, presented by "Artea," will be performed on December 26th at the Kaunas Sports Hall and on December 30th at "Arena Vilnius." Created by the team behind the festive family series "What a Christmas," which has been running for seven television seasons, the musical tells the story of an unexpected challenge that arises right in the middle of Christmas preparations. The gifts are ready, the magical sleigh is loaded, but just before Santa Claus is set to depart, it is discovered that Rudolph has gone missing.

Without his nine-antlered reindeer, Santa Claus cannot set off on his journey, threatening the possibility that children around the world will not receive their gifts. Furthermore, it is Rudolph who must bring back the sun on his antlers on Christmas morning to dispel the darkness of disbelief and sadness that could envelop the world. Santa Claus and the inhabitants of the magical forest set out in search of him, and they will have to work together to find out what really happened to Rudolph.

Santa Claus will be portrayed on stage by Julius Žalakevičius, the Elf by Aistė Lasytė, and the Elf by Vygandas Vadeiša. Joining them will be Oneida Kunsunga (Otter Pudra), Rafailas Karpis (Doctor Owl), Saulius Baltrūnas (Hare Romas), and Aurimas Vilkišius (Mr. Cloud).

The libretto is by Povilas Laurinkus, directed by Mykolas Vildžiūnas and Povilas Laurinkus, with set design by Grigorijus Zundelovičius, video projections by Mantas Rimkus, and illustrations by Skirmantė Budvytė.

The musical will feature new, unheard Christmas songs from the second "Tai bent" vinyl record, which will be released alongside the show musical this winter. The songs are written by Elf Aistė Lasytė, music produced by Aurimas Vilkišius, and the music will be performed live on stage by an instrumental and vocal group.

The musical combines acting with musical numbers and show elements, and the music will be performed live by the "Tai bent" group: Vainius Dovydaitis – Seal Juonis (keyboards), Tomas Chveduk – Bear Vacys (percussion), and Martynas Vaidotas – Mr. Chimney Sweep (guitar).

The show musical "Christmas on the Antlers," presented by "Artea," will take place on December 26th at the Kaunas Sports Hall and on December 30th at "Arena Vilnius."
