Morta, Bona, Julija, Faustina, Marija, Judita, Pranciška Uršulė, Fania, Ona, Elžbieta Magdalena, Klara, Marcelė... – these are the women of Vilnius who truly knew what they wanted. Creativity and freedom, power and influence, God's blessing and love for their neighbor, parties and feasts, passion, family, career, science, victories, prosperity for their nation, changes in society – they all decided, chose, and acted for themselves. For some of them, Vilnius was their birthplace, for others – just a stopover; to some it seemed welcoming and magical, to others – harsh and cold; some have streets named after them in the city today, houses marked with memorial plaques, while others' names are perhaps forgotten by many.
This tour is about women of different eras and fates who once hurried along the cobblestones of Vilnius, and whose works, creativity, and ideas have remained in the city's memory to this day.
