PREMIERE from October 9!
Everyone has secrets before the wedding.
But not everyone expects them to come to light on the very same day.
The wedding was supposed to be the most beautiful celebration for two families. Guests are arriving, glasses are filled, musicians are ready. But the bride and groom… do not show up.
While everyone waits for an answer to the question "where are they?", the parents of the bride and groom start looking for someone to blame. Just a moment ago, they were future in-laws. Now, they are one-night in-laws, desperately trying to understand what happened and whether the wedding will take place at all.
However, it soon becomes clear that the missing couple is no longer the biggest problem of the evening. Behind the picture of flawless families hides a shocking truth that will take the evening in an unexpected direction.
Who is lying? Who is to blame? And does everyone really want the truth to come out? Is it still possible to save the wedding?
"One-Night In-Laws" is an extremely modern, intriguing, and sharp-humored comedy where laughter and tension go hand in hand. It is a story about family, love, ego, reputation, and the truth that sooner or later knocks on the door.
One night is enough for a wedding not to happen. And for everything that families have hidden for many years to come to light.
The play is based on "Wstyd" ("Shame"), a play by one of the most prominent contemporary Polish playwrights and screenwriters, Marek Modzelewski. In the author's work, serious themes of family, relationships, and society are intertwined with sharp humor and irony. Interestingly, alongside his creative work, he is also a radiologist.
The popular 2021 Polish film "Teściowie" ("In-Laws") was based on the play "Wstyd" ("Shame"), with the screenplay written by Marek Modzelewski himself.
