Late Night Tales: Eivydas K

The end of the week and, traditionally, Late Night Tales. This Saturday's guest is Eivydas K.

We are sharing Eivydas' thoughts and what to expect!

"I spent the last ±10 years in the electronic music scene, 8 of which I was actively involved, and the remaining 2 I watched from the sidelines. From the sidelines, because electronic music no longer excited me and it was unclear what I should do myself.

I traveled through various genres, from rap to post-punk, until I discovered trip-hop and all its blends. A new passion ignited because I realized that this is what I did in the past + what I want to do – electronic music, synthesizers, guitars, samples, feeling, live playing, not in the early hours at a club with sticky floors.

Currently, I am preparing a new project and a trip-hop EP, so I have to dig not only into the genre itself but also into how it is created, so I have some baggage.

The backstory is not short, but we are getting to what and why I will play and what mood I will create – of course, trip-hop, but at the same time everything that creates it – soul, funk, disco, doo-wop – without leaving behind where I have been – more experimental electronics," says Eivydas.
