VARANG NORD - Voices Of Freedom Tour 2026

The band "Varang Nord" will dedicate their Baltic tour to the country's independence and freedom

November is the most significant and patriotic month for the people of Latvia, which is why the country's arguably most famous metal band, "Varang Nord," will embark on the Baltic concert tour "Voices Of Freedom," during which they will celebrate Latvian independence in five cities across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The tour, as a musical tribute, is dedicated to freedom, the shared Baltic cultural heritage, and the values that unite our nations. The only concert in Lithuania, which will also feature as-yet-unannounced guests, will take place on November 7, 2026 (Saturday) at the club "Narauti" in Vilnius.

VARANG NORD - Ašna Ausma:

Throughout the tour, "Varang Nord" will perform in Riga, Liepaja, Vilnius, Tartu, and Tallinn, treating the audience to their signature folk/death metal sound – a combination of heavy music, accordion melodies, the Latgalian language, and motifs inspired by historical cultural heritage. For the band, this will not just be a series of concerts – it is an opportunity to share the culture of Latvia and Latgale through music, strengthen ties with Baltic neighbors, and celebrate freedom together.

VARANG NORD – Latgola:

The band "Varang Nord" was founded in 2014 in Daugavpils (Latvia). Their most notable international achievement is winning the "Wacken Metal Battle International 2019" band competition, organized by the world's largest metal music festival, "Wacken Open Air." The band has performed not only there but also at other festivals such as "Full Metal Holiday" and "Kilkim Žaibu," and has held concerts in more than 15 European countries.

The band's latest studio album, "Mygla," released at the very end of 2025, won the Latvian Metal Music Award for "Album of the Year," and this year the band was nominated for a GAMMA award in their home country in the "Metal Artist of the Year" category.
