People, Crocodiles, Hares - a concert and poetic performance for children
Actors Balys Ivanauskas and Artūras Dubaka, using children's poems by Lithuanian writers Marius Marcinkevičius and Sigitas Geda, have created a concert-performance full of fun songs, games, and interesting stories.
Theatre critic Sigita Ivaškaitė writes about this performance:
"Not being an enthusiast of poetry performances, I was pleasantly surprised by the sincerity of the performers on stage, their professionalism in fulfilling the musical tasks they set for themselves, and the winning simplicity that unfolds both in adequate communication with children and in the conscious use of imagination as scenography. Somewhere between quick and, at first glance, simple solutions, Balys Ivanauskas and Artūras Dubaka discover the communion of theatrical illusion and poetic text, sometimes hiding behind a single word or gesture a multitude of variations that we create (for ourselves)."
