The concert will feature all three of Johannes Brahms' sonatas for violin and piano – one of the composer's most mature cycles of works, rarely performed in its entirety in a single evening. Violinist Barbora Valiukevičiūtė and pianist Vardan Geodakian (Armenia) will invite you on an emotional journey through Brahms' music – from the bright and lyrical to the passionate and dramatic.
Barbora Valiukevičiūtė (violin)
A violinist with international experience, combining deep musicality and virtuosity in her sound. She studied music in Lithuania and abroad, where her personal, sensitive style of interpretation was formed. For several years, she worked as a concertmaster in a foreign orchestra, performed on various world stages, and collaborated with renowned conductors and musicians. Currently, she lives and creates in Lithuania, performing actively and sharing music both on stage and by teaching young people – it is important to her not only to perform music but also to pass it on to the new generation.
Vardan Geodakian (piano)
An Armenian-born pianist who actively performs both as a soloist with orchestras and as a chamber musician. His performances have been broadcast live on television and radio in several countries, and Geodakian himself has also contributed to the popularization of music by Armenian composers.
