During the Soviet era, there was loud talk about the achievements of the Communist Party and a bright future. But what was whispered about? About the personal lives of those in power, about the KGB security service, about the activities of the resistance, about destroyed cemeteries. During this tour, we will walk from the residences of high-ranking communists to a place that was created as a kind of 'island of freedom' – the Neringa restaurant. A restaurant where one could whisper, but all whispers were heard. Soviet privileges, the work of artists and the price they paid for the opportunity to be in public life, illegal publications, the Helsinki Group, the first punks. Such a kaleidoscope of official and non-facade life will spin during this tour.
During the tour, you will get acquainted with more than 10 objects. These are the living places of the nomenclature, destroyed cemeteries, the homes of famous artists, those who collaborated with the Soviet government and those who suffered from it. A place that was intended to replace a church, and of course the restaurant where the freest discussions took place, as much as the KGB allowed.
