Toms Rudzinskis' ABYSS & LMTA Big Band feat. Kenneth Dahl Knudsen & Matias Fischer

On October 28th, Tamsta club will host an exclusive jazz evening featuring one of the most prominent jazz personalities in the Baltic states, Toms Rudzinskis, his collaborators from Denmark, and the energetic LMTA Big Band. This concert will feature the latest compositions by T. Rudzinskis from his critically acclaimed conceptual album "Abyss".

The album "Abyss", inspired by the mythological "hero's journey" and the psychological stages of individuation and resilience in the face of life's challenges, invites listeners on a journey of searching for meaning through the abyss of the unknown. Described by critics as "powerful and electrifying," the album stands out for its rich, multi-layered sound, expressive solo interludes, and a conceptual synthesis of spiritual jazz and jazz-rock. In 2024, this album was awarded Best Jazz Album at the Latvian Music Recording Awards and was nominated for "Album of the Year."
