Participants:
Čiurlionis Quartet, actor Vytautas Rumšas, early dance troupe "Festa Cortese", historical dance collective "Fioretti", folk dance ensemble "Sietuva", "Viduramžiai LT", historian Eimantas Gudas, architectural historian Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marius Darškevičius, and other guests.
In October, St. Catherine's Church will become a space for an exceptional cultural celebration — the early dance troupe "Festa Cortese" will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its activities. This will be a reconstruction of a creative journey, during which the troupe will recall its most cherished moments, most prominent collaborations, and stage ideas that have shaped the troupe's identity over these decades.
The dramaturgy of the evening is constructed as a subtle portrait of the troupe: early music will provide an emotional tone, the actor's voice will provide a narrative line, and dance scenes — performed in atmospheric and authentic costumes with historical choreography — will reveal an aesthetic rarely encountered on today's stage. The viewer will not see a journey through eras, but the troupe's artistic manifestation: what has survived, what has matured, and what has become a part of it.
Performances by different collectives will bring unique colors — from courtly elegance and the vitality of folklore to theatrical expression. This combination will create a solemn and festive spectacle, in which the creative history of "Festa Cortese" will unfold as a multi-layered artistic narrative.
This anniversary evening is dedicated to friends, loved ones, and cultural gourmets — people who seek not superficial glitter in culture, but content and artistic stance. The concert at St. Catherine's Church will be an opportunity to see the troupe as it is today: focused, refined, and proudly bearing witness to a long path of work.
