Evgeny Wenger studied at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin under professors Arie Vardi and Gabriele Kupfernagel. His musical development was greatly influenced by meetings with pianist Luiz de Moura Castro and conductor Misha Katz.
E. Wenger is a laureate of many international piano competitions, including the L. Janáček and G. Enescu international competitions. As a soloist and with orchestras, he has performed in more than 25 countries around the world and has collaborated with conductors Misha Katz, Nicholas Carthy, Peter Altrichter, Emil Simon, and Igor Andrievsky.
In 2023, his first solo CD, "Dream to Fly," was released, featuring the author's piano compositions and jazz improvisations based on famous classical works. In 2025, his second solo album, "Pianissimo," was released, dedicated to 19th-century romantic piano miniatures.
In addition to his classical pianist activities, Evgeny Wenger is the founder and pianist of the "Wenger Jazz Trio." The ensemble combines elements of classical music with jazz and improvisation, creating a unique musical sound.
