The Resonant Vilnius of M. K. Čiurlionis | RUNE LEICHT LUND
This summer, the ongoing project and concert series "The Resonant Vilnius of Čiurlionis" returns to the M. K. Čiurlionis House!
Despite his young age, Rune Leicht Lund has already won numerous awards in national and international piano competitions and became one of the finalists of the prestigious F. Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht for 2025/2026.
In 2021, the pianist won 3rd place at the 10th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Weimar/Bayreuth, as well as two special prizes – for the best interpretation of Liszt's Sonata in B minor and for the best performance of a classical sonata.
The pianist has performed in such venues and festivals as Konzerthaus Berlin, Rheingau Musik Festival, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Tivoli Concert Hall, and DR Concert Hall. As a soloist, he has appeared with various orchestras, including the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Weimar, and the Toruń Symphony Orchestra.
Having studied at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MuK), Rune Leicht Lund is currently continuing his studies in Sweden at the Ingesund School of Music. The young pianist is supported by the Jacob Gade Foundation and the Betty and Valdemar van Hauen Foundation.
