Following a highly successful 2025 and a very active 2026, the 6-time platinum and 8-time gold status, record-breaking Finnish rock band The Rasmus is excited to announce a major 2027 European and UK tour.
Decades of global touring experience will allow the band to showcase key tracks from their new album Weirdo, as well as legendary hits and lesser-known gems from their catalog, across a 23-date tour.
Band vocalist Lauri Ylönen comments: “The album ‘Weirdo’ resonated very strongly with our fans. It speaks about accepting yourself for who you are. This was also visible at live shows – fans dressed up to show their inner weirdos. It was a very fun and unifying feeling!”
Lauri adds: “We can’t wait to see all our dear friends again, whom we missed during the last European tour!”
Over the past year and throughout this year, The Rasmus have been presenting and continue to present their latest album Weirdo in concerts around the world, bringing their unforgettable stage show to audiences in various countries. Last summer, The Rasmus held a charity concert in Ukraine – they were not only the headliners of the Atlas festival but also the only foreign artists at the event. More than 110,000 people attended the festival, and a comprehensive security and evacuation system was prepared for the audience and performers, allowing people to be evacuated in just a few minutes if necessary. Fortunately, the festival passed without incident, and more than 2.5 million dollars were raised for Ukrainian air defense.
The latest The Rasmus single “Break These Chains”, recorded with Niko Vilhelm from Blind Channel, is an emotionally powerful track about toxic love, infused with the band’s signature dark atmosphere and anthemic melodies.
“‘Break These Chains’ is about toxic relationships,” says singer Lauri Ylönen, whose lyrics include lines like: “You made me believe / That true passion makes you bleed / So I stayed too long / Playing your twisted games.” Lauri wrote this song together with renowned hitmakers and producers Marti Frederiksen and Desmond Child. “It’s about being able to let go of something that you know is hurting you, but you are obsessed with it.”
