For the first time in Vilnius, the famous Ukrainian Classical Ballet troupe will present the magical Christmas ballet "The Nutcracker", only on December 20th at the "Compensa" concert hall!
Ukrainian Classical Ballet is a ballet troupe with an exceptional artistic team of world-renowned dancers, teachers, choreographers, and dance professionals. The soloists of the Ukrainian Classical Ballet troupe perform with great success in the best European theaters, demonstrating mastery and the highest level of artistry; the troupe has performed about 900 shows in more than 20 countries around the world!
In the troupe: artistic director Ivan Zhuravlov, a multiple laureate of international competitions who has conquered dozens of European stages; Italian dancer and choreographer Amedeo Giunta; prima ballerina Olga Tymoshiva; soloist of the Kyiv Grand Ballet Larysa Hrytsai, and others.
"The Nutcracker" ballet is one of the most frequently performed and popular ballets in the world. Tchaikovsky's famous music, the virtuosity of the dancers, sublimated by wonderful sets and costumes, will thrill all generations in this Christmas performance.
The most famous theater artists and designers participated in the creation of the scenography and costumes. The design uses special effects, video projection elements, and modern lighting technology.
The Christmas story tells of the enchanted Prince Nutcracker. Young Marie receives a mysterious wooden toy soldier as a gift from her uncle Drosselmeyer. At night, Marie finds herself in a magical world where the Nutcracker comes to life and fights an army of mice. After defeating the enemy, the Nutcracker reincarnates as a handsome prince and travels with Marie to a wonderful land of sweets, where they meet fairies and participate in a dance celebration in honor of the victor.
