The most beautiful Lithuanian and Czech books

In the Czech Republic, book creation is an important part of national culture with deep traditions. The Most Beautiful Books competition, held since 1965, is the oldest and largest book design competition in the country. Books published in 2024 were evaluated based on graphic quality, layout, printing, binding, illustrations, originality of the idea, and artistic integrity. The exhibition presents 46 laureates, reflecting contemporary Czech book design trends and creative explorations.

The museum halls display the most beautiful Lithuanian books of 2025 – publications awarded in the 34th Book Art competition. The exhibition presents 21 books recognized for their conceptual graphic solutions, typographic culture, printing quality, and harmonious dialogue with the text.

The exhibitions are organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vilnius.

The exhibition at the Kazys Varnelis House-Museum will be open from March 18, 2026, to September 27, 2026.
