The New Theatre presents! A two-part tragicomedy "The Glass Menagerie".
This is a play based on the drama of the same name by the 20th-century American playwriting classic Tennessee Williams. At the center of the play, based on autobiographical motifs, is a family detached from the reality of the 1930s permeated by the Great Depression. The mother is lost in memories of the past, the son longs for romantic adventures, and the daughter is safely locked away in her world of glass animals.
The main goal of T. Williams' plays, according to him, is to show the negative impact that society has on a sensitive, non-conforming individual.
