Dominykas DIGIMAS
A puppet and object theater performance for children about courage and survival during wartime.
This play tells the story of Magdė, a young girl whose family was exiled to Siberia at the end of World War II. With the help of her teacher, a partisan, she becomes a partisan herself, saving many lives. Based on historical accounts and memories of freedom fighters, the narrative explores the bravery and survival instincts of children in critical situations. Despite the difficult personal experiences and historical context, the story remains warm and witty. Magdė, who grows up in a single day, confesses to a carved Rūpintojėlis that she is a great coward. Yet, she bravely accepts her new reality and the unknown, proving that courage is not the absence of fear, but the act of facing it. The audience becomes part of the story, helping to tell this thick, admirable tale of survival.
