The greatest classical ballet work of all time

A ballet dream: "Swan Lake"

The International Festival Ballet offers a luxurious, elegant, and graceful performance. A complete work of art with live orchestral accompaniment.

The International Festival Ballet offers one of the most famous ballets with music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, "Swan Lake".

For many, "Swan Lake" is synonymous with ballet in general. The romantic fairy tale about young Prince Siegfried, who falls in love with the swan princess Odette and wants to free her from the spells of the evil sorcerer Rothbart, is a story about the power of true love.

This ballet belongs to the standard repertoire of all the greatest ballet troupes. Especially the "Dance of the Swans" in Act II, Allegro Moderato, in Lev Ivanov's choreography, is the subject of numerous parodies and is therefore known as the "Dance of the Four Little Swans" even outside the circle of ballet fans. In short: a brilliant work by a brilliant composer that has been attracting audiences for centuries.

"Swan Lake" is performed on stage by one of the best classical ballet ensembles – the International Festival Ballet. Furthermore, the scenography by the brilliant theater set designer Vyacheslav Okunev, who works, among others, at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and La Scala in Milan, the luxurious costumes, and the unlimited elegance and lightness of the ballet ensemble create a dreamy and fabulous version of classical ballet that still fascinates even after more than 100 years.

The International Festival Ballet ensemble dances

Artistic Director Elena Antsupova

The International Festival Ballet was founded in 2009 to represent the best traditions and spirit of classical ballet.

The International Festival Ballet is an international ballet that thinks beyond national borders, unites dancers from 20 different countries, and stands for understanding and coexistence in the poetry of art, music, and dance.

From an artistic point of view, the ballet represents the purest form of the Russian classical ballet school. Strict elegance combined with influences of modernism and the 21st century, this is a top-level dance performance – all accompanied by luxurious costumes and opulent sets.

Also in the new season, the International Festival Ballet once again presents a special pearl of classical ballet: "Swan Lake".

Pyotr Tchaikovsky's immortal classical ballet works are known all over the world and fascinate people of all ages. Everyone knows the romantic story of "Swan Lake" with the white and black swan, which has become synonymous with the elegance of classical ballet at the highest level.

Classical ballet in Eastern Europe has long traditions that continue to this day. Famous ballet schools are known for their high level and rigor, and students for their will, ambition, and immense talent.

Likewise, the 42 dancers of the International Festival Ballet have gone through this rigorous school – the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg, the Moscow Choreographic Academy, ballet schools in Ufa, Perm, Kyiv, Kharkiv, as well as La Scala and the Grand Opera.

They have all worked in the most important European ballet theaters and have won many awards at international ballet festivals and competitions.

Together, they have become one of the most aesthetically and technically successful ballet troupes not only in Europe but all over the world.

In addition to absolutely precise technique, this ballet stands out for its harmony and elegant lightness.

The International Festival Ballet is distinguished by its perfect performance, which leaves the audience breathless.
