Dazzling music for the new year!

The evening of December 31st should sound extraordinary. A festive city mood, music that captures you from the very first chords, and that pleasant feeling when you can finally leave the everyday behind in the old year.

The St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra invites you to welcome the New Year elegantly, but without overly serious faces. Joining the orchestra on stage are soprano Eglė Stundžiaitė-Bešėnienė and tenor Eimantas Bešėnas. The evening's program will feature the festive brilliance of Vienna, the energy of Broadway, film music, the romance of musicals, and melodies that you can recognize after just a few notes.

Music by Johann Strauss and Franz Lehár, as well as works by Leonard Bernstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Leroy Anderson, and other composers will be performed. One moment the music will spin into a wild festive rhythm, the next it will transport you to Broadway or the cinema screen, and the next it will simply allow you to enjoy the duet of soprano and tenor voices.

This is not a concert where you need to "understand classical music." It is an evening for those who want to dress up on the last day of the year, meet with friends or a loved one, go out into the city, and end the year not in front of the television, but live – with music, emotion, and the feeling of a celebration.

And when the final chords fade away, the evening will only be getting started. A perfect beginning to a night that will end in the new year.
