Ticking Time (dir. Balys Ivanauskas and Artūras Dubaka) – about people, missed connections, and death. This theatrical event is assembled using a mosaic principle from poems by Gintaras Grajauskas, Enrika Sriogaitė, Daiva Čepauskaitė, and other poets, live music, and dance interludes.
Poems here turn into the actors' personal stories, glimpses into the fragments and nuances of our own lives: everyday routine, gentle solitude, sharpness, fragility, playfulness, philosophical contemplation, and humor, humor, humor. There will certainly be no shortage of it. The language of poetry on stage allows thoughts to be expressed in a very concentrated, purified way, without being wordy. There is nothing unnecessary here.
Contemporary poetry, close to everyday speech, merges with the stories told by the actors to form a cohesive piece where the viewer cannot see a clear distinction between the stories and the poems. This way of reading poetry attracts viewers who are not usually interested in poetry and breaks the stereotypical image of a poetry evening. The program is full of comedy, satire, and a personal connection with the audience.
