Description
Sommelier studies are wine appreciation courses suitable for both beginner wine enthusiasts and professionals working in the industry.
During the studies, through theoretical and practical sessions, students learn not only to evaluate and recognize the main grape varieties but also deepen their knowledge in the fields of winemaking, wine regions, and food and beverage pairing.
The studies are taught by the best wine experts in Lithuania, and more than 2,000 students in Lithuania have already graduated from them.
Study duration
The sommelier study program is divided into three semesters. Each semester consists of 12 lectures, which take place once a week.
One semester lasts 4 months, and all three last a year and a half. Studies can be discontinued after each semester.
Study format
All lectures take place live at the Lithuanian Sommelier School, Stumbrų g. 15, Vilnius (near the Panorama shopping center).
Each lecture consists of theoretical material presented by an expert and a tasting of 4-6 wines reflecting the theory. Throughout the entire course (3 semesters), about 300 different wines are tasted.
