Season Opening: Jam Session

A Jam Session is an evening where no one knows the script in advance. Music is born right there on stage – through spontaneous encounters, unexpected musical conversations, and the direct connection between musicians and the audience.

Anyone who wants to play can join the Jam Session stage – who will play with whom, and what they will play, is never decided in advance. Musicians meet right there on stage, making every evening unique and impossible to recreate.

One night might give birth to a new composition, another to a new band, and sometimes simply to a musical moment that will never happen again. Age, experience or reputation are not what matters most here – what matters is the desire to play, to listen, and to be part of jazz.

At a Jam Session, everyone comes together for one reason – a love of jazz.

The first Jam Session of the new season will open with a specially assembled band bringing together musicians from three different generations. Different experiences, musical perspectives and jazz traditions will meet on one stage, making it a perfect symbol for the beginning of a new season. The opening set will feature Lithuanian jazz legends, saxophonist Vytautas Labutis and drummer Arkadijus Gotesmanas. Joining them will be Karolis Šarkus, representing the middle generation and himself a former student of Vytautas Labutis, alongside pianist Richardas Banys and double bassist Aliaksei Kryshtal. And completing this three-generation musical connection will be one of Karolis Šarkus’ own students – Nojus Dabravalskis, currently studying at Vilniaus Kolegija.

The number of seats in the club is limited, so those who arrive first will get first choice of seats.

Entrance: €10 (payable at the door by cash or card). The full amount can be spent at the bar. Jam Session starts at 8:00 PM. Bar opens at 7:00 PM. Early arrivals can choose their preferred seats.
