RIVER CONCERT and Beatbox Meets Piano battle

One evening, the DOWNTOWN PIANO LAB stage will bring together world-class beatbox, improvisation, and spirited musical battles.

The culmination of the evening is an exclusive concert by RIVER’. The French-Colombian artist Enzo Fumex is one of the most prominent names in contemporary beatbox in the world. After becoming the French beatbox champion in 2018, he later triumphed at the prestigious Grand Beatbox Battle and established himself among the most recognizable artists of the new generation.

Today, RIVER performs all over the world – from clubs in Tokyo and New York to Colombia, major European stages, and the legendary Glastonbury festival. However, his greatest strength is not his titles, but his ability to turn the human voice into an entire musical world.

Beatbox meets piano battle

Before the RIVER concert, a beatbox battle format never before seen in Lithuania awaits. The country's best beatbox artists will perform a three-minute solo set in the qualifying round – just the artist and a microphone.

A world-class jury will evaluate the participants based on musicality, technique, artistry, and other criteria. The four strongest artists will advance to the battle stage and meet face-to-face.

Each battle will consist of two 90-second rounds, in which the beatbox artists will be accompanied live by piano virtuoso Vytautas Straižys. This is an unpredictable dialogue between voice and piano, where every improvisation is born here and now. After each battle, the jury will immediately announce their verdict. Two semi-finals, a third-place match, and a grand final await the audience.

The first-place winner will receive a cash prize and a personal piano or singing lesson with Vytautas Straižys.

Even before the battles begin, RIVER’ will host a 45-minute practical beatbox session and a 15-minute Q&A session. This is an opportunity to learn from a world-class artist, discover the basics of beatbox, or improve existing skills. Everyone can participate – regardless of previous experience.
