New Viaggio is a program inspired by the works that have become the calling card of this accordion icon. Waltz for Nicky, Viaggio, For Lolo, Romance, and other opuses transform here into a musical novel, where the tenderness of French musette is replaced by the freedom of jazz and the passion of tango. Released in 1993, the album Viaggio became a turning point in Galliano's career—a bridge from the world of Parisian musettes to the international jazz and classical music scene. This is a reflection of that legendary album in today's sound.
"Rediscovering the studio recordings, I felt a strong emotion—a mixture of joy and nostalgia. Alternative versions and different takes reminded me of the creative alchemy that I want to experience with you," says Galliano.
