A new comedy "Maybe Let's Not Make a Tragedy 2. Dramma Italiano". Starring: Giedrius Savickas, Mantas Stonkus, Gelminė Glemžaitė, Milda Noreikaitė and Kęstutis Cicėnas/Petras Kuneika. The play's director is Antanas Obcarskas.

In this new comedy, famous actors not only make the audience laugh to tears but also speak on topics that are sensitive to us all and extremely relevant today. The audience laughs at the absurdity on stage because the same absurdity is happening in real life.

The action of the play takes place in Italy, but the problems faced by its characters are miraculously relevant and, one could even say, act like a mirror reflecting present-day Lithuania.

Searches, thefts, corruption, and absurd attempts to get away with it – these are the news stories that bombard us from our screens every day. The characters in the play experience exactly the same things on stage and talk about them loudly. How can one remain an honest citizen with high moral values if theft and deception in government become everyday occurrences?

And what about the constantly rising cost of living: rising food and fuel prices, increasing taxes, and salaries that cannot keep up. Many ordinary families face this in their daily Lithuanian lives as well. This also becomes the catalyst for the play's story.

This new comedy is not inclined to yield in popularity to its predecessor, "Maybe Let's Not Make a Tragedy". Like the first one, it features not only a golden cast of actors but also impressive, detailed stage decorations that more closely resemble a film set.

People often ask if those who haven't seen the first "Maybe Let's Not Make a Tragedy" can watch the new comedy right away. The answer is: yes, and feel free to do so. The second part is a completely different story. Both are connected by the same fantastic quartet of actors.

Giedrius Savickas and Milda Noreikaitė play a couple again in the comedy. This time they are Giovanni and Antonia – emotional spouses, and it is completely unclear who is under whose thumb.

Spouses in real life – spouses on stage again. Mantas Stonkus and Gelminė Glemžaitė embody Luigi and Margarita. They love each other, but don't necessarily understand each other well.

Add to this atomic quartet a naive policeman (Kęstutis Cicėnas/Petras Kuneika) and you get an explosive mixture that only needs a small spark.

The spark appears on one ordinary day at a local supermarket. What happened there that was so important that it turned everything upside down? Let's leave the intrigue. We can only say that the event caused a kind of butterfly effect: an incredible, even absurd, chain of events that all five comedy characters get entangled in. Once a lie is told, the mill of fabrications spins everyone in. The attempts to get out of it are insanely funny, sinking the characters even deeper and causing a headache for the policeman.
