The Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, led by artistic director and chief conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius, presents its latest project during the festive week, inviting listeners to travel back to the golden age of pop music in the 1980s and 1990s. Legendary hits, well-known to everyone and performed by soloists Ieva Prudnikovaitė, Evelina Sašenko, and Jeronimas Milius together with the orchestra, will sound completely new.
This program is a nostalgic journey to a period when names like Elton John, Lionel Richie, Cher, Modern Talking, and others reigned on stage. The best songs of the 80s and 90s will unfold in new colors, filled with the rich sound of a symphony orchestra and performed by Lithuania's most prominent soloists. I. Prudnikovaitė is loved by the audience for her charisma, rich, expressive voice, and ability to masterfully transform into various musical styles – from classical opera to tango. E. Sašenko is a performer of exceptional sensitivity and elegance, whose velvety voice, impeccable musical culture, and ability to subtly convey emotions have captivated listeners many times, both on chamber stages and in symphonic concerts. J. Milius is a rock singer whose voice, strong emotion, and stage presence have long conquered concert halls and musical arenas. The Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro G. Rinkevičius, will fill the stage with energy and rich musical colors.
This concert is an evening full of emotions, good spirits, the most fun memories, and unexpected discoveries. It is an opportunity to hear how pop music classics are reborn in the light of the symphony orchestra stage.
