This exhibition brings together artists with two different creative experiences – Aleksandras Vozbinas and Aleksandras Ganelinas. Although their artistic language was formed in different cultural contexts, painting holds an important place in the work of both authors as a way to reflect on the environment, memory, and the human relationship with the world.
Aleksandras Vozbinas' painting is characterized by expressive plasticity, rich coloring, and multi-layered themes. His works intertwine images of the city, history, mythology, and the human, often taking on a symbolic or metaphorical form. The artist consistently developed a distinctive painterly language in which expression combines with intellectual reflection, and real motifs intertwine with spaces created by the imagination.
In Aleksandras Ganelinas' work, the theme of landscape dominates. The artist pays great attention to the observation of nature, the change of light, and subtle color nuances. His painting stands out for its sensitive relationship with the environment, calm mood, and attention to the impression of nature. Nature motifs become not only a depicted object but also a means to convey the passage of time, atmosphere, and emotional state.
The exhibition "Two Aleksandras" invites you to look at the work of the two authors side by side – not by looking for similarities or differences, but by observing how different artistic worldviews unfold in painting. It is an opportunity to encounter two distinctive visual languages, which are connected by an attention to color, composition, and the expressive possibilities of painting.
