Nothing – a Philadelphia-born collective that accompanies traditional shoegaze melancholy with slow guitar heaviness, layers of noise, and lyrical tension. In a sound lulled by monotonous melodies and tones, instrumental gloom and emotional fragility pierce through a noisy wall of guitars.
Throughout their existence since 2010, Nothing has become one of the essential bands of the contemporary shoegaze and post-rock genres. The band also incorporates noise and alternative rock, and in their latest release this year, “a short history of decay,” reviewers also see traces of subgenres such as doom pop and baroque pop.
What remains throughout the albums is pessimism, a rethinking of nostalgia, and melancholically gloomy (or gloomily melancholic) melodies that immerse the listener in a sometimes alluringly volatile swamp of pessimism.

Opening for Nothing will be noise-punks Hammok. Emerging from the Norwegian hardcore scene, they are considered one of the fastest-rising bands of this genre in Northern Europe today. They are no strangers to noise rock, post-hardcore, and post-punk genres.
We almost managed to bring Hammok once before – we are glad that this time they are coming, and not with just anyone, but with Nothing themselves.
