For composer Mykolas Natalevičius, walking is one of his creative methods. Thoughts arise while walking, from which works are later born. Such walks become like an exit into an alternative reality. In some works, they become a direct tool – like walks by the railway and its recordings revealed in the piece "Urban Landscape". In others, walking is a source of inspiration.
During the author's evening, the composer's works for piano and recordings inspired by walks will be performed, in which the boundary between natural, sacred, and industrial spaces becomes very thin. Here, noise can be sacred, and the harmony of sounds – painful.
The concert will feature works for piano performed live by pianist Gabija Natalevičienė and the author, as well as music recordings by various performers.
The project is funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
