On June 2 at 5:30 PM, the painting exhibition "Spalvų judesys" by Jolanta Kanapickaitė will open at the Lithuanian Library of Medicine.
Jolanta Kanapickaitė lives and creates in Vilnius, Stakliškės, and Molėtai.
She studied painting at the Vilnius Justinas Vienožinskis Art School (under the guidance of Marija Teresė Rožanskaitė) and at the Jūratė Stauskaitė Children and Youth Art School from 1992 to 1993. In 2000, she completed her Master's degree in Visual Arts (under the guidance of Prof. Ričardas Bartkevičius). J. Kanapickaitė was granted the qualification of an art teacher for gymnasiums and art schools (under the guidance of Prof. Jonas Gudmonas). In 1999, she earned a Master's degree in Social Pedagogy. In 2009, she defended her doctoral dissertation in social sciences – educology (O7S) on the topic of individualization of artistic education for adults and received a Doctor of Educology degree.
Since 2013, she has been working at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania.
