About this event

On July 16, Merūnas Vitulskis will hold a concert titled "Eternal Melodies" in the Grand Courtyard of the Palace of the Grand Dukes. One of Lithuania's most renowned tenors is preparing a program for this evening with a string quartet, featuring a repertoire of classical music, film scores, and world-famous songs.

Merūnas Vitulskis is one of those performers whose voice is easily recognizable on the opera stage, in large-scale concerts, and in popular music projects. In his concerts, academic vocals often reach a wider audience, and familiar pieces take on more drama, warmth, and stage presence.

The program will feature "Nessun Dorma," "Caruso," "Granada," "Bésame Mucho," "You Raise Me Up," and other melodies that have become part of the memory of listeners of different generations. These are pieces about love, longing, hope, and the joy of life—ranging from the great operatic tradition to the musical temperament of the Mediterranean.

A string quartet will provide a sense of chamber sensitivity to the evening's program. Instead of grand orchestral pomposity, there will be more intimacy, more space for the voice and the melody itself. This arrangement allows well-known pieces to sound more restrained, yet at the same time very vibrant.

The July 16 concert "Eternal Melodies" will be a summer evening for those who want to hear Merūnas Vitulskis in a solid, melodic, and audience-friendly program. In the Grand Courtyard of the Palace of the Grand Dukes, this music will carry both the weight of a classical concert and the light mood of an open-air evening.
