On September 16 at 7 PM, the Vilnius Town Hall will host a literary, musical, and theatrical presentation of Juozas Gaižauskas' book "Kobros lopšinė".
This is an exclusive evening where literature will merge with music and theatrical expression, and the story of the new book will unfold through the voices of actors, a live atmosphere, and a creative meeting with the audience.
"Kobros lopšinė" is a story about a pilgrim who, after one fateful snap in the mountains, loses the ability to take even a single step. There is not a soul around, the nearest village is over a dozen kilometers away, and everyone who could help is far ahead. Yet, he does not stop. Every step becomes a knife, every meter an hour, but his determination only grows stronger.
What lies behind such impossible persistence? What does it mean to travel when the body refuses to obey? And can a mad trek, with practically no control over one's legs, still have meaning?
"Kobros lopšinė" is a deadly blow and a kiss in one. It is not destined for everyone to hear. And once heard, you will have to choose: break the promise made in the moment of death or sign in blood once more?
