Oh yeah! British alternative rock band LIFE returns to the capital this autumn
Having recently announced visits from Tricky and Geordie Greep to the capital, music agency 8 Days A Week continues to fill this season's concert calendar.
It is confirmed that British alternative rock band LIFE is returning to the capital this autumn! We are in for the presentation of LIFE's new album, "ABSTRACT / NATURAL". Important details – November 28, the iconic Kablys.
Musical provocateurs LIFE from Hull are necessarily written in capital letters, because is there anything bigger and more intense than life itself? LIFE sings about its injustices straight and clear, without any complex metaphors, relying on their own experience. Simply good post-punk with a backbone.
They are proudly independent, driven by a DIY principle. For LIFE, community and valuable initiatives are important. Politically savvy, curious, bold, and true only to themselves. Anger is like fuel to them. If you had a bad day and want to scream when you get home, almost any song by the band will do.
LIFE are BBC 6 Music favorites, having repeatedly made it onto A-list music recommendation playlists and best-of lists. "Roughly brilliant songs," writes The Guardian. "LIFE are one of the fastest-rising bands and it doesn't look like they intend to go anywhere," says music publication Dork, while DIY calls them a hidden gem.
Vocalist Mez Green, guitarist Mick Sanders Green, bassist Lydia Palmeira, and drummer Stewart Baxter have created a distinct creative ecosystem and do an incredible amount themselves. LIFE's music catalog includes three critically acclaimed albums: "Popular Music", "A Picture of Good Health", and "North East Coastal Town", which DIY named as the band's breakthrough.
LIFE has shared the stage with IDLES, Nadine Shah, and many others. One of LIFE's biggest supporters is Nick Hodgson of Kaiser Chiefs, who says the band reminds him of the early Kaiser Chiefs days.
"LIFE's energy is something else. Live performances are a true catharsis. LIFE is the best festival band. I have never seen such a great bassist," wrote fan Alex after a LIFE performance at a festival in the capital. "I couldn't take my eyes off them," shared fan Cringe.

"ABSTRACT / NATURAL" – the latest LIFE album
LIFE's new album "ABSTRACT / NATURAL" marks a bold step forward for the band. It is the fourth release in LIFE's music catalog, intertwining folklore, myths, and themes of self-discovery.
This work was inspired by the harsh landscape of Northern England, a physically demanding hike, and an internal confrontation with oneself. While writing the album, band leader Mez Sanders-Green walked a 193-mile route from the West Coast of Great Britain to his native East. The album tells a lot about letting go, moving forward, new adventures, and beginnings. This is revealed not only in the lyrics but also in their structures. LIFE boldly contrasts sounds: surgically precise drums break out here with sharp guitar parts and intense vocals.
The ten-track album "ABSTRACT / NATURAL" will be released to the world on June 19.
The tracklist for "ABSTRACT / NATURAL" is already known.
1. "Wild Grasses" 2. "The Dollywaggon" 3. "Turning In" 4. "Thistles Kiss" 5. "Mermaid Feet" 6. "My Yan" 7. "Drinking Games" 8. "Sun In Nancy" 9. "Buried Giant" 10. "Morning Fog"
This visit by the band LIFE to Vilnius is their only performance in the Baltic states. A wild performance with guitars that you must see live!
If the name LIFE is new to you, now is the time to get to know them. Youth, anger, and independence, no apathy and a sober mind!
