"The Lithuanian Nora" is a documentary and theatrical performance created based on motifs from Henrik Ibsen's famous drama "A Doll's House" and the life and work of the legendary Lithuanian actress Monika Mironaitė.

Monika Mironaitė is one of the most prominent figures of 20th-century Lithuanian theatre, an actress whose talent, stage charisma, and creative path have become an inseparable part of Lithuanian theatre history. Her portrayal of Nora in Henrik Ibsen's drama "A Doll's House" went down in theatre history as one of the actress's most memorable creative achievements. The play tells not only about Nora – a woman searching for her identity and freedom – but also about Monika Mironaitė herself, her internal conflicts, choices, love for the theatre, and the complex life path of an artist.

"The Lithuanian Nora" is created as a documentary mosaic, interweaving M. Mironaitė's letters, memories, diary fragments, interviews, texts read at creative evenings, scenes from H. Ibsen's drama "A Doll's House," and the recollections of her contemporaries – her daughter Dagnė Jakševičiūtė, Laimonas Noreika, Juozas Baltušis, Pranas Treinys, Rūta Staliliūnaitė, Audronė Girdzijauskaitė, and others.

This is a play about an actress, a woman, and an era in which personal freedom, creativity, and human choices become a constant internal challenge.
