The Polish music concert "Roads to Freedom," featuring both famous and acclaimed performers as well as young vocal talents, will present an exceptionally interesting program of music by Polish composers.
The concert program will include well-known and rarely performed works for soloists and duets, as well as virtuosic piano pieces that reveal a variety of musical forms, styles, and means of expression.
The vocal program, distinguished by an interesting combination of different voices, will feature songs and arias from Polish operas by Jan Stefani, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Fryderyk Chopin, Stanisław Moniuszko, Mieczysław Karłowicz, and Karol Szymanowski. Well-known patriotic works will also be performed, which the audience will be invited to sing along to.
An additional highlight of the concert program will be selected duets from Zygmunt Noskowski’s "Songbook for Children" ("Śpiewnik dla dzieci", 1890), created to the lyrics of Maria Konopnicka and based on Polish folk dance motifs. These melodic, sincere, and simple works serve as an important lesson in patriotism and a testament to the spiritual strength that accompanied the fight for freedom and independence for future generations.
