How much silence can a person hold?
There are silences that soothe. And there are those that speak louder than any words.
"A Letter to the Silence That Did Not Listen" is a dance performance that invites you on a sensitive journey through the human inner world – where unspoken feelings turn into letters, and a smile sometimes becomes just another human mask. Here, two different ways of experiencing silence meet: hiding emotions deep within oneself or covering everything with a flawless smile.
Both characters are silent. Both hope to be heard.
The letters born on stage become what we often dare not say out loud – about home, the relationship with oneself, losses, and the silence that sometimes rings so loudly that it drowns out everything around it. This is not a story about two people. Perhaps it is a story about each of us. Perhaps that evening you will see more than just a performance. Perhaps you will finally hear yourself.
Sometimes one conversation is enough for what has long lived in silence to finally find a voice. And what if one evening, silence decided to speak…
The performance is dedicated to World Mental Health Day, in collaboration with Jaunimo linija.
