After a year-long break, the play "Happiness is a Fox," based on the award-winning children's book in Lithuania and abroad, returns to the stage. The play tells a story about friendship and life values – generosity, the sadness of loss, and the joy of discovery. All of this is presented against a backdrop of live music and frantic, cheerful, and interactive action.
The highly popular play about happiness will once again delight young theater lovers. In performances taking place in different Lithuanian cities, they will be able to meet the Fox and Povilas and get to know the sensitive story, while those who have read the book on which the play is based can compare its characters with the personas embodied by the actors.
The book on which this play is based is well-known to readers in Lithuania and abroad. The story about the friendship between a fox and a boy, created by writer Evelina Daciūtė and illustrator Aušra Kiudulaitė, has received worldwide attention and was highly acclaimed at children's book exhibitions in Italy, Japan, South Korea, China, and America, and is read all over the world.
"We are very much looking forward to the new performances and meetings with the children, because it is a celebration not only for the children but also for us, the actors of the play. After all, we don't get the chance to romp, fool around, and dream with them every day. In this play, children become active participants who, together with us, do exercises, look for Miss Margarita, and search for the answer to what happiness is," says actress Daiva Rudytė, who performs in the play.
