Kristina Čivilė. Social Adaptations

Kristina Čivilė is an artist who graduated with a degree in art education from Šiauliai University. She has created several frescoes in Linkuva and Taujėnai, but the most important area of her work is painting. In the artist's works, painting becomes not a means of conveying a clear message, but a sensitive dialogue between intuition and idea, feeling and composition, spontaneity and inner reflection.

In the exhibition "Social Adaptations," the author explores the human relationship with society, the need for belonging, and the search for authenticity. The works reveal the tension between the desire to fit in and the pursuit of remaining oneself, analyzing inner states, the pressure of social roles, and the search for personal identity. The exhibition invites us to reflect on how many of our choices are determined by external expectations and how many by true self-knowledge, reminding us that the greatest freedom begins when we stop trying to fit in and dare to be ourselves.
