These are five virtuosos who masterfully blend European classical masterpieces with the rhythms of salsa, son, bolero, merengue, afro, and cha-cha. Their music is recognizable from the very first bars, yet it never sounds the way you expect. The legendary album Classic Meets Cuba, released with Sony Classical, won Echo Klassik and Jazz Award prizes, was nominated for a GRAMMY, and was called by critics "the freshest album in a long time." The quintet's music resonates not only in concert halls but also on cinema screens – for example, in the Hollywood films Hitch and Collateral. However, the most important thing is not the achievements, but what happens in the hall.
