Kiemas LIVE: Iberi

August 13th. On the Kiemas LIVE stage – Iberi from Sakartvelo.

Iberi is one of the most prominent contemporary ensembles from Sakartvelo, preserving ancient musical traditions while giving them a new sound. Their concerts intertwine authentic polyphonic singing, traditional instruments, and live improvisation, making every performance unique.

Sakartvelo polyphonic singing is one of the oldest musical traditions in the world, included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2008. Iberi presents this tradition in their own way – live, sensitively, and with respect for its roots.
