A musical play for children based on L. Frank Baum's fairy tale "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz"
"The Yellow Brick Road" is a play that has been running for over 30 years, its history beginning with the production of another well-known Keistuoliai Theatre play, "The Wizard of the Emerald City." Having lived on stage for 11 years, the play was reborn after a five-year hiatus with entirely new colors, a completely different cast, and a new title, but with the same unforgettable songs and undeniable truths, because as more than one Keistuolis repeats: "The most important thing is to see the miracle in simple things!"
This story began when a little girl named Dorothy got tired of everything: her home, her books, and even her toys. Then, a huge storm, caused by the wicked witch Gingema, carried the girl from her native Kansas to a distant, mysterious, and unfamiliar land.
But it is written in a magic book: "The little girl brought to the Land of Oz by a hurricane will be returned home by the Great Wizard of the Emerald City, if she fulfills the deepest wishes of three creatures."
And leading to the Emerald City was the winding Yellow Brick Road, full of all kinds of surprises and dangers...
If you are curious and brave, and are not afraid of witches and wizards, we invite you to travel with Dorothy along the Yellow Brick Road "to the City of Dreams, where emeralds shine." Then you will see for yourselves whether the little girl managed to reach the Emerald City, and you will find out if Dorothy returned to her native home.
And we wish for your deepest wishes and most beautiful dreams to come true: "It is only important to want it very much, to try, and to believe."
