Musical play for children
based on Lithuanian and non-Lithuanian fairy tales
First seen by audiences in 1993, having captured their hearts and become a legend, the play "Jonas Kareivis" returns to the Keistuoliai Theatre in a new production!
Once upon a time, there lived a Jonas. Not just any Jonas, but Jonas Kareivis (John the Soldier).
And he set out into the world not to seek fortune, but to find the missing Princess. And while searching, all sorts of things happen... Adventures, weddings, and the merriest celebrations with songs and dances...
Everything is present in the Keistuoliai Theatre play "Jonas Kareivis," based on Lithuanian and non-Lithuanian folk tales, legends, songs, and hearsay. In the world of Jonas Kareivis, the strangest things happen: horses turn into people, mountains into mountaineers; tears fall from joy, and songs help in times of misfortune.
If you are sad or afraid of misfortune, come to us, and we will sing together.
