The talented Evelina Sašenko takes the stage with her first and eternal love – Edith Piaf. It is the work and songs of this French singer that have accompanied Evelina from her school days to the present: starting with a daring and talented teenage performance in "Dainų dainelė", and ending with sold-out St. Catherine's Church halls at the peak of her career.
And indeed – those who have heard the voice of the "Little Sparrow of Paris" even once know that it touches not only the ears but also the heart, leaving behind a note of romantic melancholy for a long time, perhaps forever. Evelina lives in Edith Piaf's songs with her whole soul and mind, having perfectly mastered not only the French language but, it seems, the narrow streets of Montmartre, the era, and the mood characteristic of the chanson genre. She sensitively travels through a melodic history, sometimes in her own manner and sometimes in the manner characteristic of Edith herself, telling stories of loyalty, sensitivity, understanding, respect, compassion, longing, and hope.
During the performance, Evelina will be accompanied by her loyal companions, inseparable from the performer and her muse Edith Piaf: pianist Paulius Zdanavičius and accordionist Nerijus Bakula.
The program will feature well-known songs that will sound anew: "La Vie En Rose", "Padam padam", "Hymne a L'amour", "La Foule", "L'accordéoniste", and others.
Let a cozy autumn evening be filled with Parisian love and sound, gifted by the owner of a wonderful voice – Evelina Sašenko.
