“Home Jazz Band” - traditional jazz hooligans since 2011.
A quiet trumpet tone penetrates through the heavy basement door. It is a speakeasy, immersed in the smoke of ladies' cigarillos and intimate conversations. On stage, the double bassist controls the pulse of the audience with slow strokes. And the rhythmic gestures of the guitarist and the intense echo of the cymbals invite you behind the purple satin curtains. In the dance floor at the back of the bar, sweaty couples are going wild. Men in suits and ladies with red lips spin to the twists and turns of the clarinetist.
You don't need a time machine for these experiences. You don't need to travel to 1920s New Orleans or 1940s New York. The traditional jazz and swing collective “Home Jazz Band” will take you on a journey. Since 2011, the group has been breaking standards, discovering pieces hidden in history's chests, and bringing them back to life. The listener not only plunges into a whirlwind of dance but also leaves the concert with knowledge about New Orleans street marches, Vaudeville, ragtime, big band music, and European jazz. The jazz of “Home Jazz Band” is everything – authentic, sometimes punk-rock, soft as silk, and sometimes rough and dirty. Most importantly, it is real.
The first 30 tickets are cheaper.
