The start of the school year with GusGus: electronic legends return to Vilnius

One of Iceland's most prominent electronic music groups, GusGus, is returning to Vilnius, where they will hold a concert at 'Vasaros terasa' on September 2nd, symbolically marking the start of the new school year.

The team, which has been active for over three decades, has long transcended the boundaries of the club scene. The name GusGus is associated with high-quality, hypnotic electronica that blends Nordic melancholy, rave energy, and precise sound design. It is a group that is difficult to pigeonhole into a single genre – their music encompasses elements of techno, house, trip-hop, and alternative electronica.

Since their formation in 1995 in Reykjavik, GusGus has released 12 studio albums and more than thirty singles and remixes. An interesting fact – the group's name is directly related to the famous 1974 film 'Ali: Fear Eats the Soul' by German director Rainer Werner Fassbinder, in which a woman makes couscous for her lover, which sounds like 'gus gus' on her lips.
