The St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra begins its new concert season with a solemn and elegant evening at St. Catherine's Church. The Grand Season Opening Concert invites listeners to immerse themselves in the colorful world of British music, where the majestic power of the orchestra's sound, lyrical beauty, and subtle emotions intertwine.
The festive mood of the evening will be created by the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, led by artistic director and chief conductor Modestas Barkauskas, and the special guest of the evening – the talented cellist Rugilė Juknevičiūtė, who is currently studying in Zurich under one of Europe's most renowned cello pedagogues, Thomas Grossenbacher.
The program will feature works by Gustav Holst, Gerald Finzi, Edward Elgar, and other composers – music that reveals majestic melodies, sensitive romanticism, and the enduring charm of British classics.
Let this concert be a beautiful beginning to the new musical season – an evening full of inspiration, uplifting mood, and exceptional musical discoveries.
