Since 1969, the band's founder, David Allen, has channeled his spiritual, metaphysical, and cosmic ideas into the ever-evolving Gong collective, which has existed more as a mythological universe than a conventional rock band from the very beginning.

David Allen assembled the current Gong lineup before his final album, I See You, clearly expressing his wish that Gong should not end with him. The band was invited to continue the journey "to new unknown heights and depths" – beyond anything Allen could have ever foreseen.

Over more than a decade, this lineup has become the most stable in Gong's entire history, writing, recording, and touring together after Allen's passing. Live, Gong remains a dynamic, expressive, and explosive force: psychedelic rock, cosmic improvisation, krautrock pulse, and jazz freedom merge here into a continuous, hypnotic flow.

Gong's music still embodies the band's original idea – freedom, experimentation, and constant forward motion, without succumbing to the mirages of nostalgia. This is not a museum legend, but an active, changing organism continuing its journey through uncharted sound horizons.
