"Matter" – a synthesis of symphonic orchestra and contemporary sound design, inspired by human biology
Maximilianas Oprishka-Fume returns with another ambitious project. His latest work, "Matter," is a seven-part composition for symphonic orchestra, electronics, synthesizers, and live performance, which explores human biological structure through sonic and visual experiences, transforming it into a metaphor for human complexity, fragility, and evolution.
"Matter" embodies the chemical elements – oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus – that form the biological foundations of life. Explorations of the nature of life in this project speak through the synthesis of a symphonic orchestra and modern sound design.
For this audiovisual experience, Maximilianas Oprishka-Fume has once again united an exceptional team of artists. A symphonic orchestra, conducted by composer and conductor Gediminas Gelgotas, embarks on this intriguing sonic investigation of human existence. The concert's lighting design will be handled by one of the most prominent lighting designers in the Baltic states, Arvydas Buinauskas ("AB Lights"). The concert is organized by "bymodern," who work with exclusive contemporary classical music projects.
"Matter" is a project inspired by the elements that form the foundations of life as we understand it. 7 pieces, 72 minutes – a monumental, cinematic experience that contemplates human biological nature through the language of art.
